J. Kirk Kling, 62, Altoona, a person of nice religion, resiliency and energy, handed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona of issues from persistent medical situations. He was born in Takoma Park, Md., the son of James and Elaine (Seidel) Weaver.
He married Donna Drabic on June 12, 2004 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altoona.
Kirk is survived by his spouse, Donna; his dad and mom; his daughter, Madeline L. Kling at dwelling; three sisters: Karen (Tom) Connery in Maryland, Katherine (Ed) Zeak of York and Jennifer (Cory) Geishauser of Altoona; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Pat and Linda Nagle; sisters-in-law: Linda Drabic and Karen Gruchy; quite a few nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in dying by Joseph Kirk Kling Sr.; and a brother, Michael Kling.
Kirk was a 1978 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic Excessive Faculty. He graduated from Penn State College and Duquesne College Faculty of Legislation.
He was a self-employed lawyer at J. Kirk Kling Legislation Workplaces.
Kirk was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
He was additionally a member of the Bavarian Help Society, PA Bar Affiliation, Blair County Bar Affiliation and Bar of Federal Courts.
Kirk served as solicitor for Huge Brothers/Huge Sisters, Guardian advert Litem-Kids for Blair County. Kirk was a member of the Bishop Guilfoyle Ring of Honor and previous board member for Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic Excessive Faculty and Holy Trinity Catholic Faculty.
He was an avid fan of Penn State, the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Kirk loved seaside holidays, household gatherings, listening to traditional rock and sharing time with mates and his fellow attorneys. Most significantly, he loved attending Madeline’s many actions.
Associates will probably be acquired from 2 to six p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022, at The
Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, the place a vigil for the deceased will probably be held.
A funeral Mass will probably be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Committal will probably be held at Calvary Cemetery.
